Educator

Alongside her design work, Amy has spent years as a Lead Teacher at Shillington, a graphic design school, where she has taught, mentored, and helped hundreds of students find their footing as designers. It has shaped how she works with clients too: she likes to explain her thinking, not just hand over a finished file, so clients understand the “why” behind every decision as much as the result itself.

As Lead Teacher at Shillington, Amy balanced hands-on teaching with leading a team, delivering a consistently high standard of design education.
    • Led by example: taught in the online studio and worked closely with fellow Lead Teachers toward shared goals
    • Managed the team: oversaw workflow, availability, task assignment, and class cover each semester
    • Developed staff: trained new teachers, ran workshops, and assisted with recruitment
    • Shaped the bigger picture: helped guide Shillington’s development and improve the teacher and student experience
